Ronaldo - Sound Design Bio

With certifications from Alan Parsons’ School of Audio and Joshua Fielstra’s School of Sound (along with a personal letter of recommendation), Ronaldo has spent a lifetime exploring the art and science of sonic expression.

He has produced his own albums as well as work for Droni Eye Omi, a sound canvas of electric guitars created with bandmate Brad Frye. He also contributed to the production of Michelle Adam’s short film Adventures of Duende in the Ocean.

Ronaldo’s fascination with sound began in the 1970s, when, as a curious child, he sang into box fans just to experience their swirling harmonics. Whether programming in BASIC on a Commodore 64, teaching whistling songs to parrots and parakeets, or humming along to the drone of a vacuum cleaner, he has always been captivated by how sound shapes emotion and mood.

An accomplished multi-instrumentalist on guitar, piano, tabla, and oud, Ronaldo approaches music as both craft and emotional alchemy. His work reflects a deep fascination with the mysterious interplay of tone and timbre — how they merge, resonate, and transport listeners to realms that feel both ancient and otherworldly.
